Prince of Peace by Keith S. Titus

THE STORY: Join the live performance of Saint Paul's inspired and moving epiphany and journey through the Gospels. This one-man show is a masterpiece compilation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the perspective of the Apostle Paul. He tells of his transformation and conversion. This show is powerful and compelling.

Setting: A Synagogue in Rome at which a great many converts to Christianity have already been made among the Jews; and the leaders of which are open to news of the messiah prophecies having been fulfilled by Jesus of the house and lineage of King David. It is the conversion of so many of Rome's Jews to this new sect which prompts the Roman authorities to begin actively searching out, persecuting, and publicly executing newly made Christian men, women, and children. Paul will soon be arrested for the role he played in establishing Churches all over the Roman Empire. In prison, he will continue to encourage converts to go forth and share their new way; the Gospel or "Good News," through letters that he sent to the Christians of cities throughout the known world.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE:

As a minister, I naturally hope I can bring the zeal of Paul to life in "Prince of Peace;" his conversion was a great inspiration to my own. Paul told us that we are co-heirs with Christ; the philosophical implications of this are tremendous and leave us only to dream of the glory we will share in Christ. The scriptures tell us that all things were created through Him, with Him, and in Him. Man, with the help of God, has evolved to explore space, discover that matter and energy are interchangeable, that time is relevant to light, and to split the atom at it's nucleus; with the wonders of nature that we have seen, we are left only to ponder at what is in store for us when our matter once again becomes energy. "Eye has not seen, ear has not heard what God has ready for those who love Him." - 1st Corinthians, chapter 2. I thank Ted and Jacque Valley for offering me this opportunity.

-Reverend Michael Meakin, ULC.

PRODUCER'S NOTE:

Many people in our secular world miss so much meaning and power in human existence that lives and breathes in the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. In a world where so many search for answers beyond themselves; in a world where so many search for power beyond themselves...they miss out on the actual and conceptual power that truly exists in the Bible.

This one man show captures the experience of a person who strives to live the philosophical and theological beliefs that he holds dear. Can any of us stand toe to toe with persecution? Can we hold fast to our beliefs even in the face of torture and death? As you watch this show, allow the Spiritual aspect to come into you, but be moved by the true stories that inspired so many martyrs, saints and better than 2000 years of religious followers.
